Locomotive Technologies LLC (LocoTech) became a laureate of the national award in the area of import substitution Priority-2016, winning in the category Innovation. The awards ceremony was held in Moscow on the 10th of November. The award on behalf of LocoTech has been presented to the first Deputy General Director Yury Degtyarev.

LocoTech is the largest provider of locomotive fleet maintenance services in 1520 gauge territory. The company annually serves more than 15 thousands locomotives. Locomotive Technologies has been awarded the highest award in the area of innovation implementation for Smart Locomotive project, which is currently being implemented.

The system will allow to implement on-line assessment of technical condition of units and assemblies of the locomotive, predict the probability of failure, schedule the programme of repairs, detect violations of the operation modes and increase the efficiency of traffic management.

After the introduction of the systems specialists will be able to predict and control the technical condition of the locomotive during the entire life cycle of operation. This will significantly reduce operating costs, the number of unscheduled repairs and increase technical readiness ration (primary production index) of the locomotive fleet.

Priority Award is an annual competition arranged to support and encourage manufacturers in the area of competitive substitution of products and services. For today this is the first and only reputable in the professional community, mass and branded award in Russia for the best enterprises. The award is supported by the Ministry of industry and trade of Russia, Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Ministry of Communications of Russia, CCI of Russia, The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Delovaya Rossiya, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, as well as other specialized and industry organizations.
