Chelyabinsk electric locomotive repair plant (ChERZ (a part of LocoTech group) summed up the results of the production operation for October and 10 months of 2016.

By operational results of October 2016 Chelyabinsk ERZ achieved a record release of electric locomotives from repair - 59 sections. Since the beginning of the year the plant has released 379 sections of rolling stock from repair.

Director of the Chelyabinsk ERZ Yury Zaitsev said: “Achieving the production record in October 2016 is very important for the plant. This is an evidence of high labour productivity of the team, as well as an indicator of the effectiveness of the chosen development strategy. I’d also like to remind that since 2012 the enterprise has never failed or violated the final rhythmicity of the release of electric locomotives from repair".

Chelyabinsk ERZ was founded on April 1, 1943 with the opening of foundry and mechanical workshops. The historical maximum of the production load was recorded in 1988, when 802 sections of the VL10 series electric locomotives were repaired. Currently, the plant is part of the JSC Zheldorremmash.

Chelyabinsk ERZ fulfils orders of 16 Russian railways. The plant has mastered the repair of rolling stock for open pits Severny, Bogatyr, Vostochny in Ekibastuz city, Orenburgasbest, Kachkanarsky and Sokolovsko-Sarbaevsky ore dressing plants. Annually the enterprise releases at least 460 sections of electric locomotives, as well as line equipment, components, and spare parts for inter-plant cooperation and commercial enterprises.
