Sergey Vorobyov , the repairman of the West Siberian branch of TMH-Service LLC, become the second runner-up at the contest, which was held in Novosibirsk on November 10.

Sergei Razuvaev, the repairman of the rolling stock of the service locomotive depot Petrozavodsk of the North-West branch, won first prize in the nomination "The Best Repairman of Rolling Stock" in Voronezh, on November 23. Andrey Shestakov, the repairman of the rolling stock of the Rossosh depot of the Yuzhny branch, took the bronze medal in the same nomination.

The aim of the professional skill competition is to popularize the professions of railway transport, increase the prestige of working specialities. The best repairmen of a rolling stock and drivers-instructors of locomotive brigades have been chosen by the authoritative jury consisting of heads and industry experts.

Competitions were held in two rounds - at the theoretical stage participants showed their knowledge of the rules of technical operation of railway transport, occupational safety and health, industrial sanitation, fire safety in the workplace. After that the contestants demonstrated professionalism during the practical stage. Thus, repairmen of the rolling stock were to detect and repair the malfunction of the units and assemblies of the rolling stock for the given time.

Laureates of the contest received personal diplomas, valuable prizes and cash prizes.
