The main purpose of Committee is to set up effective mechanisms for cooperation between the federal and regional state authorities, business, academic and civil community. The Committee will propose a specific plan of actions to promote the development of the domestic transport engineering industry.

“The domestic industry faces several challenges, aimed at increasing the growth rates of economic development, labour productivity and competitiveness of our products and services in the global market. And the task of business community is to introduce new technologies, to upgrade enterprises, to fulfil social obligations and thus contribute to the strengthening of the economy of the state,” Aleksey Belinsky emphasized.

Locomotive Technologies is the largest Russian company, providing repair and maintenance of locomotives, as well as one of the largest employers in its industry. Group of companies employs over 60 thousands persons. Gained experience and competence enable LocoTech to act as market experts in the transportation engineering.

The Committee, chaired by Aleksey Belinsky, will develop proposals for improving the existing law and the adoption of the new regulations for industry development, coordination of measures on implementation of import substitution technologies in mechanical engineering in order to localize the production in Russia and other issues.
