The Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair factory (UU LVRZ, part of the LocoTech Group of Companies) received the effect from implemented improvement proposals from employees for 13 million rubles in 2017.

In total, 537 projects were submitted to the department for the development of production systems aimed at improving working conditions, technologies, production management systems, reducing of material consumption, etc. All the authors of accepted proposals and participants in their implementation have received the remuneration.

The number of the most important projects implemented includes a proposal to improve the process operations, which allowed to shorten the time for the assembly of the test scheme. As a result, the number of electric motors checked per shift increased.

Proposal on the use of narrow-gauge railway in the area of traction motor shields repair has reduced the waiting time of the bridge crane by 30 minutes per an operation. 

In addition, the idea of ​​rational use of consumables has reduced the amount of waste that is now used to make smaller parts. 

It is especially important that not only the masters and foremen, but also the workers, strive to contribute to raising labour productivity and reducing material costs. Thus, the employees of the equipment department invented and manufactured two devices that significantly improved the quality of repair of inductive dividers and reduced the cost of acquiring the new ones.

Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair factory occupies a leading position among the locomotive repair factories of LocoTech. This is one of the largest industrial enterprises of the Republic of Buryatia. It performs middle-term and capital overhaul of locomotives, warranty service and upgrading of locomotives with the extension of service, repair of components and assemblies, production of spare parts, development of the new repair technologies.
