19.09.2018 | LocoTech-Signal and Siemens are planning to establish a Competence Centre in Moscow

Today, at the Innotrans-2018 exhibition in Berlin, Siemens Mobility, LocoTech-Signal signed a frame cooperation agreement. The document was signed in the presence of Alexey Belinsky, managing partner for innovation and digitalization of LocoTech-Signal LLC and Dietrich Möller, President of Siemens in Russia. It is a continuation of the memorandum signed earlier in Moscow.

The companies intend to carry out long-term mutually beneficial strategic, scientific and technical cooperation in the area of adaptation and implementation of railway automation and telemechanics systems in the 1520 gauge space. To this end, the parties plan to arrange a Competence Centre based on LocoTech-Signal in Moscow. It is planned that the Centre will deal with development and adaptation of safety systems and train traffic control (including “unmanned” control).

It is assumed that within the framework of the signed contract technical components and platforms will be provided for LocoTech-Signal, including the necessary software and technologies.

“The document signed today is another important step in cooperation between Siemens and our partner in the development and implementation of innovative digital control systems and ensuring the safety of urban and railway transport,” said Yuri Smagin, representative of Siemens Mobility.

“Technology partnership with world leaders is an important part of our strategy. The document signed today confirms the focus of both partners on the joint development of high technologies for railway transport in the market,” commented Alexey Belinsky, managing partner for innovation and digitalization of LocoTech-Signal.
