21.01.2019 | LocoTech Corporate University received a license for educational operations

LocoTech Corporate University has received a license for educational operations. It is planned that the first group will begin training in the first quarter of 2019.

The objectives of the Corporate University creation are to increase the level of personnel technical competence development, increase labour productivity and, as a result, improve the quality of locomotives repair. With its opening, it will be possible to formulate training programs taking into account the need for competencies for specific jobs.

The LocoTech Corporate University is created on the basis of the Ussuriysk locomotive repair plant due to the fact that there is the greatest shortage of skilled workers in this region. In the future, training sites will be established at other Group companies.

The Corporate University will be primarily engaged in training and advanced training for working professions: rolling stock repairman, locomotive inspection and repair mechanic, electrical equipment repair electrician. In addition, engineers and line managers can develop their managerial skills and personal performance competencies here. New employees will be able to receive training, as well as those who need regular professional development and assignment of grade. The plans include more than 20 training programs in working specialties, the duration of training varies from 144 to 288 hours, depending on the initial level of qualification.

The main forms of theoretical training will be online classes, watching educational films and working on virtual simulators. If necessary, teachers will travel to the company's divisions with lectures and workshops. Practical training for production personnel is planned to be carried out directly in the workshops and areas under the guidance of experienced craftsmen. The teachers will be both invited trainers and LocoTech employees.

LocoTech implements a comprehensive staff development plan, which uses both traditional, full-time and modern teaching methods: webinars, chat bots, online training.
