The results of the III All-Russian Project in the field of social responsibility "Heroes of Our Time" were summed up in Moscow. The ceremony took place on December 13 in the Smirnov’s House.

Employees of 17 companies became the nominees for the "Heroes of Our Time" in 2017. Nearly 100 applications were submitted for the contest, which is 2.5 times more than last year.

Yuri Degtyarev, Director General of LokoTeh, said: "The "Heroes of Our Time” project celebrated its third anniversary. During this time, it became truly all-Russian and took on a wide resonance. Its goals are to show that the success of a person is determined not by their position and not by the money that they manage, but by how much this person changes their life around themselves for the better. We expect that next year other companies will join us and we are sure that the number of heroes will only grow".

The event was attended by Yury Degtyarev, Director General of the LocoTech Group of Companies, Kirill Lipa, Director General of ZAO Transmashholding, Natalia Pletenetskaya, Deputy General Director for Human Resources and Organizational Development in LocoTech, Arseni Brykin, Deputy Director General of JSC RosElectronics, head of the federal programme “”Work in Russia”. The ceremony was supported by Russian actors Ivan Kokorin and Stanislav Duzhnikov, TV presenter and actress Evelina Bledans, stylist and presenter of Vlad Lisovets and others.

Contestants work at industrial enterprises in different regions of the country: from the Far East to the Kaliningrad region. Applications for participation were accepted from October 17 to November 23. A popular vote for the nominees has been held from November 27 to December 3. More than 25 thousand people took part in it. The jury of the project passed the vote from 4 to 8 December.

The jury included: Roman Karmanov, Deputy Director General of the Komsomolskaya Pravda Publishing House; Natalia Pletenetskaya, Head of the Organizing Committee of the “Heroes of Our Time” project, Deputy Director General for Human Resources and Organizational Development in LocoTech; Dmitry Punin, Director General of the International Lomonosov Club; Natalia Sindeeva, Director General of the TV Company "Dozhd”; Philip Smirnov, radio presenter at "Radio 7 on the 7 Hills"; Galina Shaburova, managing partner of ComPie agency; Andrey Shevtsov, presenter, correspondent of the "Morning of Russia” (VGTRK); Alexey Kharnas, chief editor of the "Gudok” publishing house; Igor Toroschin, State Duma deputy, member of the Committee on economic policy, industry, innovative development and entrepreneurship of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; Ivan Kokorin, actor; Ekaterina Zabegina, designer, fashion designer.

As a result, 18 candidates were selected, who received the most votes, in 6 main categories. The winners were: electric welder of JSC Transmash Rushan Nevmyatullin (nomination "To be a Man", for the feat performed during the whole life), engineer of the Amurskoe service locomotive depot of LocoTech-Service Irina Funtusova ("Lifebuoy", for saving lives), foreman of the diesel locomotive shop at the Astrakhan TRZ Evgeni Boldychev ("Courage. Bravery. Honour", for the feat during the military operations), mechanic of JSC Novosibirsk Semiconductor Devices Plant with EDB Valery Koroteev ("Always in the Heart", for military and patriotic work), brigade of Ulan-Ude LVRZ (“From Heart to Heart”, for volunteer activity and charity), engineer of JSC NII Ferrit-Domen Alexey Kurochkin (“Protecting the planet, for environmental activities). "I want to thank people from whom we took an example, when we began to engage in charitable activities and help children: Chulpan Khamatova, Konstantin Khabenski. Two years ago I suggested to my colleagues to help the orphanage and give the children all the bonuses they earned. We have a friendly team - I was supported by all the 18 people. This was our first small step to good", said the winner in the nomination "From Heart to Heart” foreman of Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair factory Stanislav Podberezsky.

“Heroes of our time" is an All-Russian Project in the sphere of social responsibility dedicated to ordinary people, their actions, which were committed once and saved the lives of others, or to daily lifetime-long feats. Its aim is to raise the status of working specialities in our country, popularize the volunteer movement, generous and selfless actions in society.
