Chelyabinsk electric locomotive repair factory (ChERZ, part of the LocoTech Group of Companies) increased the number of employees by 460 people compared to the figure in 2016. In February 2018, it is planned to employ about a hundred more people.

Electrician-schematist, rolling stock repair technician, electrical machines repair electrician - the main areas for which recruitment is being conducted. The average salary for the plant is more than 40,000 rubles.

Also, in connection with the increase in the repair programme ChERZ switched to a 24-hour operating mode in production divisions since January. Now the plant has two shifts: from 07.00 to 19.00 and from 19:00 to 07:00. Earlier the enterprise worked in two shifts for eight hours each (from 07.00 to 16.00 and from 16.00 to 00.00, without a night shift).

Thus, today more than 2,900 people work at the plant. Creation of new jobs is associated with an increase in the production plan of ChERZ, which masters the new direction of locomotives repair.

We’d like to note that the main focus of production at ChERZ over many years has been the repair of freight direct current locomotives series VL10, VL11, VL15. Since the second half of 2017 the plant started to master the repair of alternating current VL80 series electric locomotives and of direct current 2ES4K series "Donchak” electric locomotives.

Thus, in 2018 the plant plans to release 290 sections of VL80 series electric locomotives after repair against 64 a year earlier. This requires different concept of the organization of production, retrofitting of the shops, increasing the number of workers, significant financial resources and investments. 

Chelyabinsk ERZ carries out overhaul, medium repair and service maintenance of traction rolling stock, as well as repair of electric machines, wheel sets, units and assemblies of locomotives, production of spare parts for rolling stock.

The enterprise repairs and maintains cargo locomotives of direct current series VL10, VL11, VL15 of all indices. The plant has mastered the repair of rolling stock for mining sections (PE-2M, OPE-1 and EL21). Also at present the plant is mastering the repair of electric locomotives of alternating current series VL80 and 2ES4K "Donchak".

ChERZ maintains the locomotives operating in the Yuzhno-Uralskaya, Kuybyshevskaya, Moskovskaya, Oktyabrskaya, Zapadno-Sibirskaya railways, as well as the traction rolling stock operated on mining sections of the Urals region.
