The Ussuriysk Locomotive Repair Plant (part of the LocoTech Group) received the best result among the Group’s plants in the international business management system of railway industry enterprises, which complies with ISO/TS22163. 

For the first time, the plant was audited according to new standards and received a “bronze” result. Specialists of ULRZ coped with the new certification procedure with an indicator of 68%. 

As Anna Zaiko, the head of the product certification and quality management department at ULRZ, noted, the requirements of ISO/TS22163 are stringent and are aimed at improving the quality of products manufactured by the plant. The transition to the ISO/TS certificate is carried out in order to meet the requirements of the main customer - JSC Russian Railways. 

Work as per the new standard will improve the efficiency of the business management system, allow to carry out continuous improvements, emphasizing the prevention and reduction of the number of defects in the supply chain. 

The certification audit at ULRZ was conducted by representatives of the Russian branch of DQS - an international audit and certification holding company from Yaroslavl. 

The next stage to be completed by the Ussuriysk Locomotive Repair Plant is the first inspection control. It will be held in 2019. This will be the second stage - "silver". Thus, according to international standards, an enterprise must improve its performance annually and each time obtain higher statuses. After reaching the “gold” level, the plant will undergo a certification procedure again.
